Ruvel Abril is an illustrator, painter, and a musician. He has illustrated several independent comic books, including his first comic book Pale Dark (with writer Chuck Amadori) and his more current projects Grimoire and Dagon (Mythx Media). He has also illustrated album covers of various local bands which include 4th Draztik and Fell the Mighty.

He is the author and artist of the comic book series Ultimo, which won Best Artist, Best Writer, and Best Komiks in the Komiket Awards 2018. He is also the vocalist of the metal band Sickpig for almost 16 years. Currently, Ruvel is doing the next issues of Ultimo and he's also working on his new graphic novel called Depikto.
