Mang Esteban is a local manggagamot who cures common illnesses as well as drives away evil beings. Alberto is a cheerful kid who somehow inherited his gifts.

As Mang Esteban teaches Alberto the way of the panggagamot, the curse coming from the Bukana spreads. Mang Esteban is obliged to help calm the Bukana for the sake of the mortal and enchanted world.

The grandfather and grandson's journey leads them to truth and pain, but they have to obey the rules of both worlds
